The Ambaji Temple has now been included in the Prasad Yojana by the Central Government after ISO certification

The Prasad Yojana has been implemented by the Central Government to create world class facilities for tourists in the country's pilgrimages and to promote local employment as well as local art and culture. Under this, the famous Yatradham Ambaji temple of Gujarat has been included.

Earlier, the first Jyotirlinga Somnath Mahadev and Dwarka temples have also been included under the Prasad Yojana. Ambaji Temple is the third temple in Gujarat to be included under this scheme. It may be mentioned here that 41 pilgrimages have been included in the entire country by the Central Government.

Now the trust and devotees of the temple are also happy to see the Ambaji temple being included in the announcement to cover five new shrines under the scheme. Due to this plan local tourism will develop. Besides, there will be ample employment opportunities.

Local culture and heritage will also be encouraged. It may be mentioned here that Ambaji Temple has recently got ISO 9001 certificate for the best pilgrim facility.
